following steps do not solve the problem.

Is the power cable fi rmly inserted?
Is the power switch on?
Is the <Energy Save> key
illuminating?
Is the touch screen contrast for the
display set too light or too dark?
Is the phone line connected to both
the main unit and the wall outlet?
Is the type of phone line set
correctly?
Is the machine in the middle of
transmitting a document?
Is the type of phone line set
correctly?
Is paper loaded properly?
Is the cassette loaded properly?
Is the document jammed?
Are you using the appropriate
document?
Is the document guide aligned
properly?
Are there a piece of paper left in the
ADF?
Is the document feeder roller dirty? Clean the document feeder roller.
Do you turn off the power and leave
the machine on for a long period, or
everyday?
Are you pressing only one side of
the cover?
Countermeasure
Check the power switch and power plug.
Turn ON the power switch.
The machine is in the energy save mode. Press
the <Energy Save> key to release the energy
save mode.
Adjust the touch screen contrast while checking
the display.
Make sure the line is connected correctly.
Make sure all settings should match the phone
line properties.
Wait until the machine fi nishes transmitting.
Make sure all settings should match the phone
line properties.
Check the error message and remove the jammed paper.
Load paper properly.
Make sure the cassette is pushed all the way in.
Remove the jammed document and reload it.
Use the appropriate documents.
Align the document guide along the document.
Open the ADF cover and check.
The batteries that hold registered content may
have died. Contact your Muratec dealer.
Press both sides of the cover to close it.
