Remove the CA upper assembly.
(1) Remove the fine-wire coaxial cable from the retaining sheet.
(2) Remove the tape AS 1/2, then disconnect the flexible flat cable (8-core) from the connector (CN45) on the
SM-50 board.
(3) Remove the four screws.
(4) Remove the four helical extension springs.

Tip
• If the return arm is popped out, it may be deformed. Therefore, slide the portions (g) in the direction of the
arrow to put the return arm inside of the CA middle loader assembly, then continue the procedure.
• Be careful when handling the CA upper BU assembly because it becomes unstable in the state that the CA
upper assembly is removed.
