Code Description
95-51C A SELECT-EEPROM (IC1:
SM-48 board) error was de-
tected.
95-51D The optical block assembly
detected an abnormal tem-
perature.
95-51E The temperature of the opti-
cal block assembly is rising.
95-51F The BRIDGE (IC700 inter-
nal: BI-353 (ODS-D280U)/
BF-92 (ODS-D280F) board)
detected an abnormal stop of
the fan (DC FAN (L)).

Error remedy method
1. Acquire the drive/driver log.
If the same error occurs repeatedly, send the
acquired drive/driver log to your local Sony
Sales Office/Service Center.
2. Turn off and on the power.
1. Eject a cartridge.
2. Turn off the power.
3. Wait for about 10 minutes, and then turn on
the power again to eject the cartridge.
4. Check whether there is any obstacle that
blocks air flow from the fan exhaust outlet
and to the air vents (front/rear).
5. Check the ambient temperature of this unit.
6. Startup the maintenance menu and perform
FAN MOTOR.
When this operation fails, check the instal-
lation of the relevant fan and the cable con-
nection.
• Improper connection (half insertion or
oblique insertion)
• Damage to connectors
• Significant scratches or disconnection
of flexible flat cables
• Damage or contamination at connect-
ing parts (Unplug flexible flat cables.)
7. Check the installation status of the heatsink
on the BF-92 board (ODS-D280F).
8. Check the air filter.
• If the air filter is significantly conta-
minated, replace it.
1. Eject a cartridge.
2. Check whether there is any obstacle that

and to the air vents (front/rear).
3. Check the ambient temperature of this unit.
4. Startup the maintenance menu and perform
FAN MOTOR.
