Risk of injury
Very hot or very cold air can flow through
the air vents. This could cause burns or
frostbite to bare skin in the immediate vicin-
ity of the air outlets. Keep bare skin away
from these air outlets. If necessary, use the
thumbwheel to direct the airflow away to a
different area of the vehicle interior.
Please comply with the following to ensure
that air can flow through the air vents with-
out being impeded:
Keep the air inlet between the bonnet
and the windscreen free from deposits,
e.g. of ice or snow, to ensure that fresh
air can flow freely into the vehicle inte-
rior.
Do not obstruct vents or ventilation
grilles in the vehicle interior.

Opening and closing the air vents

For virtually draught-free ventilation, move
the centre air vent sliders to a central position
and set the side air vent adjusting tabs to the
horizontal.
Centre air vents
The centre air vents are in the cockpit
above the centre console. They supply un-
heated outside air to the vehicle interior.
