Children in the vehicle
If a child is travelling in the vehicle:
Secure the child (preferably on a suita-
ble rear seat) using a child restraint
system which is appropriate to his/her
age and size and which has been ap-
proved for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Make sure that the child is strapped in
throughout the trip.
Information about the correct child re-
straint system can be obtained from any
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.

It is preferable to use Mercedes-Benz care
products to clean child restraint systems. You
can obtain information from any Mercedes-Benz
Service Centre.

Risk of injury
Do not leave children unsupervised in the
vehicle, even if they are secured in a child
restraint system. The children could:
injure themselves on parts of the vehicle
be seriously or even fatally injured by
prolonged exposure to extreme heat or
cold
Do not expose the child restraint system to
direct sunlight. The metal parts of the child
restraint system could heat up and these
hot parts could burn the child.

If children open a door, they could:
injure themselves and others in doing so
get out of the vehicle and injure them-
selves or be injured by a passing vehicle
Do not carry hard or heavy objects inside
the vehicle unless they are properly se-
cured. You will find further information in
the "Controls in detail" section under "Load-
ing" and "Features".
An unsecured or incorrectly positioned load
will increase the risk of injury to the child in
the event of:
sharp braking
a sudden change of direction
an accident
