Problem
W The yellow reserve fuel
warning lamp is lit while
the engine is running.
q The preglow indicator
lamp does not come on
when the key is in posi-
tion 2.
q The preglow indicator
lamp lights up when the
engine is running.
# The red battery charge
indicator lamp lights up
while the engine is run-
ning.
Possible cause/
consequence
The fuel level has fallen into the
reserve range. Reliable opera-
tion of the auxiliary heating* is
no longer guaranteed.
The preglow indicator lamp is
faulty.
The preglow system has mal-
functioned.
The battery is no longer being
charged. Possible causes:
Faulty alternator
Torn poly-V-belt
A malfunction in the elec-
tronics

Refuel at the nearest filling station ( page 125).
