Jump-starting
Run the donor vehicle's engine at idling
speed.
Turn cover 1 in the direction of the ar-
row to open it and fold it to the side.

Connect the jump-starting socket of
both vehicles using special jump
leads 3. Start with the donor vehicle.
Switch on the battery master switch
( page 54).

If all the vehicle batteries are discharged,
you must press the emergency start button
( page 219) when starting and continue to hold
it for approximately five seconds once the vehi-
cle has started.
Start the engine.
You can now switch the electrical con-
sumers back on, but do not switch on
the lights.
