Switch the ignition on again and contin-
ue to hold down selector button 1.
You will see the service indicator with
the current remaining distance or re-
maining time in the instrument cluster
display.
You will hear a warning tone after ap-
proximately ten seconds. You will see
the service indicator with a new value
in the instrument cluster display.
Release selector button 1 again.
The service indicator is reset.

If you have reset the service indicator acci-
dentally, a qualified specialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre, will be able to
update it again.
Fuel/water separator
The fuel/water separator indicator lamp is
located on the instrument cluster.

1 Indicator lamp
When you switch on the ignition, indicator
lamp 1 lights up for one second (function
check) and then goes out again.
The water separator must be serviced if:
indicator lamp 1 does not go out after
the ignition is switched on
indicator lamp 1 lights up while the
engine is running

as quickly as possible.

If you drive for an extended period without
having the fuel/water separator serviced, this
could lead to engine damage. Damage resulting
from this will not be covered by the warranty.
