ADR (working speed governor*)

ADR prevents the engine speed from drop-
ping, for example when a heavy load is
placed on the alternator.
The switches are located on the centre
console.

1 To switch on ADR
2 To increase the engine speed
3 To decrease the engine speed
Make sure that the vehicle is station-
ary.
Shift the selector lever to P
( page 81).
Apply the handbrake ( page 78).
Press upper section 1 of the switch.
ADR is activated. Engine speed is con-
trolled automatically. The ™ work-
ing speed governor indicator lamp in
the instrument cluster lights up.

ADR (working speed governor*)
If ADR is switched on, the engine speed
can be increased and decreased as re-
quired, up to a maximum of 1,800 rpm or
down to a minimum of 900 rpm.
Press upper section 2 of the switch to
increase the engine speed.
Press lower section 3 of the switch to
decrease the engine speed.

If you release the handbrake while ADR is
switched on, ADR switches off automatically.
