Loading and stowing
Remove the head restraints
( page 59).
Pull short lever 2 in the direction of
the arrow and hold it in this position.
Pull long lever 3 in the direction of the
arrow and fold the backrest forwards.
Folding the seat backrest up
Fold the backrest up. Make sure that
the seat belt is not trapped.
Push the backrest back until the catch
clicks audibly into place.
Install the head restraints.

Folding the rear bench seat forward
Fold the backrest forward.
Raise the rear bench seat at the back
and fold it forwards in the direction of
the arrow.

You can secure the rear head restraints in
the retainers on the underside of the backrest
when the rear bench seat is folded forwards.

Folding the rear bench seat up
Fold back the rear bench seat.
Fold up the backrest.
Install the head restraints.

Risk of injury
Make sure that the backrest and seat cush-
ions are fully locked in place. If the backrest
is not properly locked, then in the event of:
sharp braking
a rapid change of direction
an accident
the backrest could fold forward, not re-
straining you as intended but rather causing
you injury.
