Coolant temperature gauge
The coolant temperature display is at the
top right in the instrument cluster.
If antifreeze/anti-corrosion additive is
present in the correct concentration, the
value displayed may rise to 120 °C in nor-
mal driving conditions.
When outside temperatures are high and
when driving uphill, the coolant tempera-
ture can rise up to the end of the scale.

The following are shown in display 2:
The trip meter
The total distance recorder
The outside temperature
The service indicator (ASSYST)

The engine oil level ( page 131)
Odometer/Service indicator
Press button 1 in the instrument clus-
ter.
The display switches between the total
distance recorder and trip meter dis-
plays.
Press button 1 twice in quick succes-
sion.
The ASSYST service indicator is shown
( page 161).
Resetting the trip meter
Press button 1 on the instrument
cluster repeatedly until the trip meter is
shown.
Press button 1 again and hold it until
the trip meter is reset.

Outside temperature display

Risk of accident
Even if the temperature displayed is just
above freezing point, the road surface may
still be icy, especially in wooded areas or on
bridges. The vehicle could skid if you do not
adapt your driving style. Always adapt your
driving style and speed to current weather
conditions.
Changes in outside temperature are only
shown after a delay.
Press button 5 on the instrument
cluster repeatedly until the outside
temperature is shown.
