Service
Clearing the service indicator
The service indicator goes out automatical-
ly after a few seconds. You may also clear
the service indicator yourself.
Press selector button 1 on the left-
hand side of the instrument cluster.
The service indicator goes out.
Missing the service due date
If you have missed the service due date:
The service indicator flashes for a few
seconds after switching on the ignition
A minus sign appears in front of the
service indicator
You also hear a signal

A qualified specialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre, can reset
the service indicator once the service has
been carried out.

If the specified service is not performed, you
could be violating certain laws and your warranty
and goodwill entitlement could be invalidated.
Calling up the service due date
Switch on the ignition ( page 55).
The standard display appears in the
display ( page 90).
Press selector button 1 on the left of
the instrument cluster twice in quick
succession.
The service indicator will appear.

Resetting the service indicator
If your vehicle is ever serviced other than
at a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre, you
can reset the service indicator yourself.
Switch on the ignition ( page 55).
The standard display appears in the
display ( page 90).
Immediately press selector button 1
on the left of the instrument cluster
twice.
Turn the key back to position 0 in the
ignition lock within the next ten sec-
onds.
Press and hold selector button 1.
