2 Bonnet catch
Raise the bonnet slightly.
To open: press bonnet catch 2 in the
direction of the arrow. Open the bonnet
fully.

Closing
The gas spring on the vehicle must be re-
leased in order to lower the bonnet.

Risk of injury
The bonnet could close when you release
the gas spring. For this reason, you must use
one hand to keep the bonnet raised or carry
out the task with a second person if neces-
sary.
Lift securing clip 4 up in the direction
of the arrow using a suitable tool 5,
e.g. the screwdriver from the vehicle
tool kit.
Press gas spring 2 from ball fixture 3
in the direction of the arrow.
Fold down bonnet 1 carefully until it is
in line with the windscreen.
To secure gas spring 2 again, press it
back into its original position above ball fix-
ture 3 until you feel it engage.
