Heavy soiling: wipe plastic parts with
a damp, lint-free cloth (e.g. a microfibre
cloth). Use a solvent-free and non-
caustic cleaning agent. Mercedes-Benz
recommends that you use
Mercedes-Benz products.
The surface may temporarily change col-
our. If this is the case, wait for it to dry.
Cleaning the cockpit and the steering
wheel boss
Moisten a clean, lint-free cloth with wa-
ter.
Clean the plastic parts and the cockpit.
Use a mild soap solution for particular-
ly heavy soiling.

Risk of injury
Do not use cleaning agents or cockpit care
sprays that contain solvents to clean the
cockpit and steering wheel boss. Cleaning
agents containing solvents will make the
surfaces porous and could cause serious in-
jury as a result of plastic parts coming loose
if the airbag is deployed.
Trailer tow hitch*
The trailer coupling must be cleaned if it is
dirty or if corrosion is detected.
Remove traces of rust with a wire
brush.
Remove dirt with a clean, lint-free cloth
or a brush.

Do not clean the trailer tow hitch with a high-
pressure cleaner. Do not use any solvents.
You should also lightly oil or grease the
following parts after cleaning:
The ball in the trailer tow hitch with
ball coupling
The inside of the hook and the
moveable parts of the trailer tow
hitch with a hook

Maintenance work on the trailer coupling
can be performed by any Mercedes-Benz Serv-
ice Centre.

Environmental note
Dispose of oil-soaked and grease-soaked
cloths in an environmentally responsible
manner.
