Diesel fuel (EN 590)
!
Only refuel with diesel which meets Europe-
an standard EN 590.
You could otherwise damage the engine or im-
pair the engine performance.
Further information on diesel can be found in the
index under "Technical data".
!
When refuelling vehicles with diesel particle
filters in countries outside the EU, only low-sul-
phur Euro diesel with less than 0.005 percent
sulphur by weight should be used. In countries
where diesel with a higher sulphur content (e.g.
0.035 percent by weight) is available, the engine
oil should be changed more frequently. Further
information on engine oil change intervals can be
obtained at any Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
!
When filling your vehicle with fuel from a bar-
rel, place a filling filter, a suede towel or a clean
flannel in the fuel filler neck to filter the diesel fu-
el. You could otherwise clog the fuel lines.
