Risk of injury
To reduce the risk of serious or even fatal in-
jury in the event of an accident with a high
rate of deceleration, e.g. caused by an air-
bag deploying in milliseconds, or in the
event of sudden braking, please observe the
following notes:
The driver must select a seat position in
which he can wear the seat belt correct-
ly and which is as far back from the air-
bag as possible. The seat position must
also allow the driver to be able to drive
the vehicle safely. The driver's arms
should be slightly bent when holding the
steering wheel. The position of the driv-
er in relation to the pedals must be such
that he is able to depress them fully.
Vehicle occupants should wear their
seat belt correctly at all times and lean
back against their backrest, which
should be positioned as close to the ver-
tical as possible. The centre of the head
restraint should support the back of the
occupant's head at about eye level.
Do not lean forwards, e.g. over the pad-
ded boss of the steering wheel, espe-
cially while the vehicle is in motion.
Do not put your feet on the dashboard.
Only hold the steering wheel by the rim.
This allows the airbag to inflate fully. If
you hold the steering wheel by the in-
side, you could be injured if the airbag is
triggered.
Make sure that there are no other per-
sons, animals or objects between the
vehicle occupants and the deployment
range of the airbags.
Do not place any objects on the airbag
or between the airbag and yourself.
Do not hang any hard objects such as
coat hangers on the grab handles.
The risk of injuries caused by an airbag can-
not be entirely ruled out, owing to the high
rate at which the airbag is required to de-
ploy.

guaranteed if:
you do not cover over the padded boss
of the steering wheel and you do not af-

cluding their wiring
Your vehicle is fitted with a driver's airbag.
