The use of various consistency areas is useful to optimize the performance
of an S7-CPU. Consistency areas that are longer than two words must be
edited with system functions. You can use the effective Load/Transfer com‐
mands for consistency areas up to two words.
Total length:
The consistency applies for all data of this slot. This default entry should
usually be sufficient.
Unit:
The consistency applies for one process data word.
You must configure at least a "2" word "Total length" for the transfer of a
double word.
Select the organization block from the drop-down list.
If you have assigned the drive to a controller, you require an organization
block for the communication between the drive and the controller. If, for
example, you create for an S7-1500, a technology object of the "Positioning
axis" type and assign it to a drive axis, you then require an organization
block of the "MC-Servo [OB91]" type. The communications must then be
isochronous. Further OBs are, for example, Main [OB1] or for safety func‐
tions, an FOB_RTG1 [OB123].
Select the process image partition that you want to use in the drop-down list
in order to transfer the data consistently, e.g. OB1-PI.
Use the interrupt OB to output diagnostic information.
Monitoring time in the fail-safe DP standard slave / IO standard device / PA
field device.
A valid, current safety telegram must arrive from the F-CPU within the mon‐
itoring time. This ensures that failures and errors are detected and the ap‐
propriate reactions triggered to keep the F system in a safe state or to
transfer it to a safe state.
The number of the block that controls the F-I/O.
The name of the block that controls the F-I/O.
