Central measuring probe with S120
Connecting signals at the drive
For SINAMICS S120, measuring probes are connected at terminals X122 or X132 of the
Control Unit

For SINAMICS 120, measuring probes are connected at the bidirectional inputs/outputs of
X122 or X132. The terminals must be parameterized as measuring probe input using p680.
Depending on how many measuring probes are used, PROFIdrive telegrams 391 ... 396 of the
CU can be used.
Configuring is performed using Startdrive (TIA Portal) or another commissioning tool.
Measuring probe in SINUMERIK Commissioning
In SINUMERIK Commissioning, proceed as follows to be able to use the measuring probe
centrally:
General MD, which is used to set the measuring function for central drives.
MD13210 $MN_MEAS_TYPE
= 0 (default 0)
Axis MD, which is used to set the axis-specific measuring function for drives.
MD30244 $MA_ENC_MEAS_TYPE[n]
= 0
