The OPTI-6100 chassis provides the following alarm interfaces:
VISUAL Alarm Output Contacts: Three alarm contacts are provided for CR, MJ, and MN

VISUAL alarms. For each alarm, two wire wrap terminals are provided. These outputs are
derived from metallic relay contacts. The alarm is activated by relay contact closure.
AUDIBLE Alarm Output Contacts: Three alarm contacts are provided for CR, MJ, and MN

AUDIBLE alarms. For each alarm, two wire wrap terminal are provided. These outputs are
derived from metallic relay contacts. The alarm is activated by relay contact closure.
Alarm Cut-Off: One pair of wire wrap terminals is provided for external input for alarm

acknowledgment. The ACO input can be wired to an external switch that closes the circuit
between the two ACO terminals, deactivating the AUDIBLE alarm outputs. The SCM also
provides a front panel ACO switch for Alarm Cut Off.
Fan Failure Alarm: A separate alarm input is provided to sense fan failure conditions. This

alarm input consists of a pair of wire wrap terminals. An alarm is detected when the pair
of terminals are shorted together. Additionally, alarm contact cadence may be used to
distinguish between different failures in the fan pack (e.g., to distinguish an individual fan
failure vs. multiple fan failures).
Environmental Alarm Inputs: Three alarm inputs are provided to sense external

environmental conditions. Each alarm input consists of a pair of wire wrap terminals. An
alarm is detected when the pair of terminals is shorted together.
Auxiliary Environmental Alarm Inputs: 3 or 19 alarm inputs are provided via a fan module.

The FANM Assembly (P/N 1184507L1) provides three additional alarm inputs.
