Cross-Connect Module Installation

Use this Installation and Turn-Up procedure for the OPTI-6100 Cross-Connect Module
(OMMXCV, P/N 1184536L1).
The OMMXCV module
capability within the chassis is required, but a high-speed network interface is not required.
The OMMXCV cross-connects VT and STS traffic between tributary modules, supporting any
valid VT1.5/STS-1/STS-3c combination. Up to 12×STS-1 paths can be mapped.
NOTICE
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage electronic modules.
Before handling modules, wear an antistatic discharge wrist strap
to prevent damage to electronic components. Place modules in
antistatic packing material when transporting or storing. When
working on modules, always place them on an approved antistatic
mat that is electrically grounded.
Inspect all modules prior to installation. If a module has been
damaged during shipping, file a claim with the carrier and contact
ADTRAN Customer Support. Refer to

located directly in the center of the chassis, labeled
