OPTI-6100 Installation and Turn-Up Practice

ETHM8E/ETHM8EF Provisioning

Use this Provisioning procedure to provision the following modules:
ETHM8E (P/N 1184525L1)

To provision the ETHM8E/ETHM8EF module, complete the following steps:
1. From the OPTI-6100 Main menu, select
2. From the MS Modules menu, select the Ethernet module to provision, and press
3. From the ADTRAN Ethernet Line Card menu, select

NOTE
AINS prevents alarms from being reported on facilities that are not
yet receiving a valid signal. Refer to

9. On the AINS Time screen, enter the number of hours and minutes, and press
10. To manually provision an individual port's Speed, Duplex, and Crossover settings:

NOTE
If either 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps is specified, the far end of the Ethernet
link must also be configured for the matching Speed and Duplex
settings. Duplex, Speed, and Auto-MDIX/Crossover negotiation are
all automatically disabled if Speed is not set to Auto Negotiate.
d. From the Port # Provisioning menu, select
