Acceptance Test Procedure

INTRODUCTION

This appendix details the steps which must be performed to verify that an ADTRAN OPTI-6100
chassis has been properly installed in a central office (CO). An Acceptance Test Checklist is
provided at the end of this procedure for sign-off on completion of this phase of installation.
This procedure is designed to be used in conjunction with ADTRAN documentation for the
system, which is available at www.adtran.com.

PREREQUISITE PROCEDURES

The following procedure must be completed prior to performing Central Office Installation
acceptance. If necessary, refer to the appropriate documentation before proceeding. The prereq-
uisite procedure is as follows:
Installation according to OPTI-6100 Installation and Turn-Up Practice (P/N 61184500L1-5),
and one of the following:
OPTI-6100 MX Chassis Job Aid (P/N 61184501L1-22)
OPTI-6100 SMX Chassis Job Aid (P/N 61184514L1-22)
OPTI-6100 LMX Chassis Job Aid (P/N 61184555L1-22)
NOTE
All required modules should be present and installed as per their
respective Job Aids.

REQUIRED TOOLS AND MATERIALS

Have the following equipment on hand before beginning the procedure:
Acterna FIREBERD 6000 Communications Analyzer (or equivalent)
A computer or terminal with VT-100 emulation software and a serial or 10Base-T interface
Plug-ins for the OPTI-6100 (as ordered)
Oscilloscope (optional)
