Table 52. STS-1 DCC Menu Options

Function
This option specifies the name of the DCC interface.
The default is the slot type/number, followed by a facility number
(when applicable).
This option sets the service state for the DCC interface.
Select In Service or Out of Service (default).
This option controls data link layer addressing on the SDCC.
The available options are as follows:
User: User is typically used on the customer premises side of
the link. This is the default.
Network: Network is typically used on the network side of the
link.
PDCC0: PDCC0 is typically used when DCC is the IP interface.
This option sets the maximum number of sequential I-frames
that can pass unacknowledged.
The valid range of values is 1–127, with a default of 7.
This option sets the maximum time allowed without
acknowledgement before a frame is retransmitted or other
recovery actions taken.
The valid range of values is 200–20000 ms, with a default of 200.
This option sets the maximum time allowed with no frames
exchanged.
The valid range of values is 4–120 seconds, with a default of 10.
This option sets the maximum number of attempts to retransmit
a frame without receiving an acknowledgement.
The valid range of values is 2–16, with a default of 3.

Description
This field displays the maximum number of octets allowed in an
information frame. Frames exceeding this size are discarded.
The default size is 512.
This field indicates the Information Transfer Service (ITS) in use.
In point-to-point data link applications, this can either be
Acknowledged (AITS) or Unacknowledged (UITS).
The OPTI-6100 only supports AITS.
This field indicates the current status of the DCC link.
