Function
This selection defines a chassis managed by an NMA under a unique
TID. An OPTI-6100 in this mode can be used as a stand-alone chassis
or as a Client on an RS-485 daisy-chain. This mode requires a unique
TID (see previous page), but all chassis have a Chassis Number of 1.
This is the default.
This selection defines a Client chassis managed under the TID (refer to
"TID"
on page 123) of the Host chassis. Subtended Expansion Shelves
are automatically assigned the TID of the Host, and must be
provisioned with a unique Chassis Number (2–254) during system
turn-up.
The Host chassis is always Chassis Number 1.
