SCM Features

The SCM is the focal point for all management functions carried out by the chassis. The SCM
handles local management and alarms, provides a craft interface for provisioning individual
OMM and tributary modules, and can be configured as a host SCM to daisy-chain up to 16
OPTI-6100 chassis together for management from a single local craft interface.
Figure 4 illustrates the SCM (P/N 1184500L1) and the SCM2 (P/N 1184500L2).
