Description

The OPTI-6100 is a highly integrated SONET (Synchronous Optical NETwork) multiplexer with
a choice of chassis, all of which are designed to mount in a standard 19-inch or 23-inch rack.
Each chassis requires a System Controller Module (SCM), which is the maintenance and
administration module for the system.
The OPTI-6100 System offers three chassis and two System Controller Modules, each with
differing capacities and features, as detailed in the following topics:
