CAUSES OF BURNT FLUID

(1) Ver ify t h a t t h e veh icle is pa r ked on a level su r-
fa ce.
(2) Rem ove lockin g pin (1) (F ig. 149). Rem ove t h e
pla t e of t h e lockin g pin wit h a su it a ble t ool a n d pr ess
ou t t h e pin r em a in in g in t h e ca p down wa r ds.
(3) Rem ove ca p (2).
WARNING: Risk of accident from vehicle starting off
by itself when engine running. Risk of injury from
contusions and burns if you insert your hands into
the engine when it is started or when it is running.
Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving off by
itself. Wear properly fastened and close-fitting work
clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

NOTE: The dipstick will protrude from the fill tube
approximately 75mm (3 inches) when installed.
