NOTE: A flex rod torque wrench must not be used
in order to avoid angle errors when tightening to
degrees.

WARNING: USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN THE
ENGINE IS IN OPERATION. DO NOT STAND IN A
DIRECT LINE WITH THE FAN. DO NOT PUT YOUR
HANDS NEAR THE PULLEYS, BELTS OR FAN. DO
NOT WEAR LOOSE CLOTHES.

(4) Rem ove t h e bolt s (F ig. 36).
(5) In ser t t h e cr a n ksh a ft lock #8932 in t o t h e
st a r t er r in g gea r a n d in st a ll t h e r et a in in g bolt s.
Tigh t en t h e lock bolt s t o 9 N·m (80 lbs. in .) (F ig. 36).
