(3) Lift t h e h ea t er cor e ou t of t h e lower h a lf of t h e
H VACr h ou sin g (F ig. 15).
(4) If n ecessa r y, r em ove t h e t h r ee h ea t er cor e t u be
r et a in in g bolt s a n d t h e h ea t er cor e t u be a ssem bly
fr om t h e h ea t er cor e.
(5) Rem ove t h e h ea t er cor e t u be sea ls a n d disca r d
a s r equ ir ed.

(4) Assem ble t h e H VAC h ou sin g (Refer t o 24 -
H E ATING & AIR CONDITIONING/DISTRIBUTION/
H VAC H OUSING - ASSE MBLY).
NOTE: If the heater core is being replaced, flush the
cooling system (Refer to 7 - COOLING - STANDARD
PROCEDURE - COOLING SYSTEM CLEANING/RE-
VERSE FLUSHING).
(5) In st a ll t h e H VAC h ou sin g (Refer t o 24 - H E AT-
ING & AIR CONDITIONING/DISTRIBUTION/H VAC
H OUSING - INSTALLATION).

REMOVAL

to 24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING -
CAUTIONS). Failure to follow the warnings and cau-
tions could result in possible personal injury or
death.
NOTE: The A/C liquid line is serviced in two sec-
tions. The front section connects between the A/C
condenser and the receiver/drier and includes the
high side service port and the A/C pressure sensor
on the fitting for the receiver/drier. The rear section
connects between the receiver/drier and the A/C
expansion valve.
FRONT SECTION
(1) Recover t h e r efr iger a n t fr om t h e r efr iger a n t
syst em (Refer t o 24 - H E ATING & AIR CONDITION-
ING/P LUMBING

(3) Rem ove t h e gr ille (Refer t o 23 - BODY/E XTE -
