SNMP Trap Configuration

SNMP v3 User

Using SNMP v3 User configuration, you can assign access rights of read-only or read-
write for each users, and limit configuration rights.
Configuration using CLI
To add SNMP v3 User, execute following command:

WEC8500# configure terminal
WEC8500/configure#

Configuration using Web UI
In the menu bar of <WEC Main window>, select <Administrator> and then select the
<SNMP> <APC>  <v3 User> menu in the sub-menus.
Click <Add> button on the v3 User window, then created SNMP v3 User window is
displayed. Input configuration value and click <Apply> button, then it is applied.

Access rights (rw/ro)
• rw: read-write rights
• ro: read-only rights
Authentication Protocol
• MD5: Message-Digest algorithm 5
• SHA: Secure Hash Algorithm
Authentication Key
Privacy Protocol
• DES: Data Encryption Standard
• AES: Advanced Encryption Standard
Privacy Key
