OTe Troubleshooting
OTe 11, 13, 15, 17: Wheel Sensor
(Open/Short to Body Ground/Short to Power)
1. Disconnect the ASS control unit 31 P connector.
2. Start the engine.
3. Measure the voltage between the appropriate
wheel sensor I
+
I circuitterminal of the ASS
control unit 31 P connector and body ground Isee
tablel.
OTC Appropriate Terminal
11 IRight-frontl No.5: FRS 1+1
13 I Left-frontl No.7: FLS 1+1
15lRillht-rearl No.2: RRS 1+1
17lLeft-rearl No.9 RLS 1+1

Wire side of female terminals
Is there battery voltage?
YES-Repair short to power in the I
+
I circuit wire
between the ASS modulator-control unit and the
appropriate wheel sensor..
NO-Go to step 4.
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

5. Check for continuity between the appropriate
wheel sensor I
+
I circuit terminal and body ground
Isee tablel.
OTC Appropriate Terminal

Wire side of female terminals
Is there continuity?
YES-Go to step 6.
NO-Go to step 7.
6. Disconnect the harness 2P connector from the
appropriate wheel sensor, then check for continuity
between the 1+1 and I-I terminals of the harness
and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES-Repair shortto body ground inthe 1+1 or I-I
circuit wire between the ASS modulator-control
unit and the wheel sensor..
NO-Replace the wheel sensor .•
