OTe P1167: NF Sensor (Sensor 1) Heater
Circuit Malfunction
NOTE: If DTC Pl162 is stored at the same time as DTC
Pl167, troubleshoot DTC P1162 first, then troubleshoot
DTC Pl167.
1. Resetthe ECM (see page 11-41.
2. Start the engine. Wait for at least 80 seconds.
Is OTC P01167 indicated?
YES-Go to step 3.
NO-Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at
the NF sensor relay, at the NF sensor (Sensor 11,
and at the ECM .•
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Disconnect the NF sensor 4P connector and ECM
connector A (31 PI .
5. Connect the NF sensor (Sensor 11 4P connector
terminals No.2 and No.1 with a jumper wire.

NO-Repair open in the wire between the NF
sensor (Sensor 11 and the ECM (A6 or A161 .•
