31. After tightening the 12 mm flange bolts, install a
new stop plate IB) over one of the bolt heads. Be
sure the tabs IC) of the stop plate are aligned with
the flat surfaces of the bolt head.
32. Clean off any grease or contamination from the
boot installation grooves on the housing.
33. Expand the boot IA) by removing the vinyl tape,
and fit the boot ends IB) in the installation grooves
on the cylinder housing.

34. Close the ear portion IA) of the bands IB) with
commercially available pincers, Oetlker 1098 or
equivalent IC).

35. Install the new lock washer IA) with its radiused
side faCing IB) the tie-rod IC), and screw the tie-rod
on the bracket (0). Repeat this step for the other
side of the tie-rod. Hold the bracket with one
wrench, and tighten the tie-rods to the specified
torque with another wrench.
