Special Tools Required
• Driver, 40 mm 1.0. 07746-0030100
• Attachment, 30 mm 077 46-0030300
NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View as needed during
this procedure.
1. Clean all parts in solvent, dry them, and apply
lubricant to all contact surfaces.
2. Install the distance collar, needle bearing, and 1st
gear onto the countershaft.
3. Install the triple cone synchro assembly IAI by
aligning the synchro cone fingers 181 with 1 st gear
grooves ICI, then install the synchro spring 101.

4. Install the 1st/2nd synchro hub IAI by aligning the
synchro cone fingers 181 with 1st/2nd synchro hub
grooves ICI.

5. Install the reverse gear.

6. Install the synchro spring IAI .
7. Install the triple cone synchro assembly 181 by
aligning the synchro cone fingers ICI with the
1st/2nd synchro hub grooves 101.
8. Install the distance collar IAI and friction damper
181 by aligning the friction damper fingers ICI with
the 1 st/2nd synchro hub grooves 101.
