Horn Test/Replacement
1. Remove the front bumper (see page 20-851.
2. Disconnect the 1 P connector (8). and remove the
horn (AI.
3. Testthe horn by connecting battery powerto the
terminal (AI and ground to the bracket (81. The horn
should sound.

4. If it fails to sound, replace it.

Horn Switch Test
1. Remove the steering column covers (see page 17-
91.
2. Disconnect the dashboard wire harness 8 5P
connector (AI from the cable reel (81.

3. Using a jumper wire
f
connect the dashboard wire
harness 8 5P connector (AI No.2 terminal to body
ground .
• If the horns sound, go to step 4 .
• If the horns do not sound, check these items:
- Horn relay
- No.7 (15A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay
box
- Horns (see page 22-1221.
- An open in the wire
