10. Measure the thickness of the MBS distance collar.
• If the thickness of MBS distance collar is less
than the standard, replace the MBS distance
collar with a new one.
Standard:
23.95-24.05

Mainshaft Disassembly
1. Remove the angular ball bearing (AI and the
tapered cone ring using a commercially available
bearing separator (BI and a commercially available
bearing puller (C). Be sure the bearing separator is
underthe tapered cone ring.

2. Support 5th gear (Alan steel blocks, and press the
mainshaft out of the 5th synchro hub (BI. Use of a
jaw-type puller can damage the gear teeth.
