VessRAID 1000f, 1000i, 1000s Product Manual
When enabled, NCQ allows the physical drive to determine the optimal
order in which to retrieve outstanding requests. To use this feature, the
physical drive must support NCQ.
From the Appliance Mode box dropdown menu, choose the mode
suited to your application.
Generic – Sets writeback flush count to 128.
Surveillance – Sets writeback flush count to 64.
Check the Forced Read Ahead box to enable this feature.
When enabled, forces the controller cache to read ahead. Increases
performance for video applications only. Reduces performance in all
other applications.
Check the Wake on SAS box to enable this feature.
When enabled, turns on the subsystem when there is activity on the
SAS expansion.
Enter a temperature value in the Physical Drive Temperature
Threshold field.
The range is 50° to 60°C.

Click the Submit button.
The changes take effect immediately.

Clearing an Orphan Watermark

An Orphan Watermark condition is the result of a disk drive failure during an
NVRAM RAID level migration on a disk array.
To clear an Orphan Watermark:
1.
Click the Subsystem
2.
Click the Controllers
3.
Click the Controller
4.
Click the Clear tab in Management View.
5.
Click the Submit button.
The changes take effect immediately.
