Making FTP Protocol Settings

Protocols are disabled by default. Enable the protocols appropriate for your Hosts
or PCs.
To make FTP Protocol settings:
1.
Click the Subsystem
2.
Click the Administrative Tools
3.
Click the NAS
4.
Click the Protocol Control
5.
Click the FTP Sharing tab.
6.
Click the Enable option button.
7.
Make the following changes as needed:
Port 21 is typically used for the Command Port.
To specify a range of passive data port numbers, type those numbers
into the fields provided.
The port range is 1024 to 65535. Be sure the port numbers you enter
are enabled on your firewall and server.
8.
Click the Submit button.
9.
Click the OK button to acknowledge.

Making UNIX and Linux Protocol Settings

Protocols are disabled by default. Enable the protocols appropriate for your Hosts
or PCs.
To make UNIX or Linux Protocol settings:
1.
Click the Subsystem
2.
Click the Administrative Tools
3.
Click the NAS
4.
Click the Protocol Control
5.
Click the UNIX/Linux tab.
6.
Choose the Enable option button to enable the UNIX/Linux protocol.
7.
Make the following changes as needed:
To join a NIS Domain, click the Enable option button beside Services.
Enter the NIS Domain name into the field provided.
See your Network Administrator for help with this information.
8.
Click the Submit button to save your settings.
