Making Windows and FTP Sharing Settings

Sharing settings enable you to designate NAS user and group access to share
folders on your VessRAID NAS system.
To make Windows or FTP sharing settings:
1.
Click the Subsystem
2.
Click the Administrative Tools
3.
Click the NAS
4.
Click the Sharing Setup
5.
Click the Windows/FTP Sharing tab.
6.
Make the following changes as needed:
From the Volume dropdown menu, choose the volume containing the
folder you want to modify.
From the Folder Name dropdown menu, choose the folder you want
modify.
Check the boxes for the protocols you want for this folder:
In the Permission list, click the option button for one of the following
permissions for each group and user:

Click the Submit button.
8.
Click the OK button to acknowledge.

Making UNIX/Linux Sharing Settings

UNIX and Linux sharing designates which UNIX and Linux PCs can access the
folders on your VessRAID NAS system.
You must designate the IP addresses for each volume and folder individually. You
can add up to 256 IP addresses for all of your folders.
To set up UNIX and Linux sharing for a folder:
1.
Click the Subsystem
2.
Click the Administrative Tools
3.
Click the NAS

Read and Write – Default
