EFI SYSTEM - Troubleshooting with Volt/Ohmmeter (7M-GTE)

To Circuit Opening Relay (ST A)

Neutral Start

(Canada A/T)

Switch (A/T)

Fusible Link

Starter Relay

(MIT, USA A/T)

To Theft Deterrent (USA)

To Body Ground (Canada)

There is no voltage between ECU terminals STA and El.

(IG SW START)

Check starter

Check wiring between ECU terminal ST A

and ignition switch terminal ST1.

Repair or replace.

Check wiring between ECU terminal El and body

Try another ECU.

Repair or replace.

Check fusible links, battery, wiring,

ignition switch and neutral start

Repair or replace.

Check that there is voltage at terminal 50 of starter.

(IG SW START)

STD voltage:

Check starter.

Check wiring between ignition switch

terminal STl and starter terminal 50.
