(c) Position the piston rings so that the ring end gaps are
as shown.
NOTICE: Do not align the end gaps.
3. INSTALL BEARINGS
(a) Align the bearing claw with the claw groove of the
connecting rod or connecting rod cap.
(b) Install the bearing in the connecting rod and rod cap.
NOTICE: Install the bearings with the oil hole in the con-
necting rod.

HINT:
• Thoroughly clean all parts to be assembled.
• Before installing the parts, apply new engine oil to all
sliding and rotating surfaces.
• Replace all gaskets, O-rings and oil seals with new parts.

INSTALL OIL NOZZLES
Torque: 250 kg-cm (18 ft-Ib, 25 N·m)
2. INSTALL MAIN BEARINGS
HINT: Different bearings are used for the No.1 and
otheres.
