The
(eliminate unused symbols) switch directs the linker to eliminate
-e
unused symbols from the executable.
In order for the C and C++ run-time libraries to work properly, the
following symbols should be retained with
on page
___ctor_NULL_marker

-es sectionName

The
-es sectionName
which the elimination algorithm is to be applied. This switch restricts
elimination to the named input sections. The
command line more than once. Both this switch and the
ELIMINATE_SECTIONS()
specify sections from which unreferenced code and data are to be
eliminated.
