The server uses the user password it stores and the MD5 al-
gorithm to encrypt the Challenge string. Then it compares this
Challenge string with the encrypted password of the server and
returns a response accordingly.

EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol)
EAP is a kind of authentication mode of transmitting EAP mes-
sage transparently including EAP-MD5 and PEAP. The following
example is about EAP-MD5 description.
EAP-MD5 is a CHAP identity authentication mechanism used in
the EAP framework structure.
