    Overview This manual provides you with the information for installing, configuring, and operating the Mediant 2000 SIP gateway (referred to throughout this manual as device). The device is a SIP-based Voice-over-IP (VoIP) media gateway. the device enables voice, fax, and data traffic to be sent over the same IP network.

Web-Based Management Web-Based Management The device's Embedded Web Server (Web interface) provides FCAPS (fault management, configuration, accounting, performance, and security) functionality. The Web interface allows you to remotely configure your device for quick-and-easy deployment, including uploading of software (*.cmp), configuration (*.ini), and auxiliary files, and resetting the device.

The Navigation tree displays a tree-like structure of menus. You can easily drill-down to the required page item level to open its corresponding page in the Work pane.
