5.2.5 Setting Parameters for a CAR Level

To manage the bandwidth of access users, you must configure a CAR level. Moreover,
you must apply the level to some or some type of user accounts.
Do as follows in AAA view.

5.2.6 Assigning an IP Address to a PPP User

If a user accesses the BAS over PPP, he can obtain an IP address through the PPP
address negotiation.
There are two methods to assign an IP address to a PPP user.
Configuring an IP address pool and then specifying it to some interface in
interface view
Assigning the IP address of an interface directly to the peer instead of
configuring an address pool
I. Configuring an IP Address Pool
When a PPP user logs in, he needs to obtain an IP address from the BAS.
Configure a local address pool in AAA view (as the system address pool) or within a
domain.
