4.2.11 Importing Routes of Other Protocols

RIP allows its users to import routes of other routing protocols into the RIP routing
table.
Such routing protocols include:
Direct
Static
OSPF
BGP
Do as follows in RIP view.

Import routes of other protocols.
Cancel the route import of other protocols.

4.2.12 Configuring Default Routing Metric

You can configure default routing metric when you tend to import routes. You can use
the default routing metric if no metric is specified for importing routes.
Do as follows in RIP system.

Configure the default routing metric.
Restore the default routing metric.

4.2.13 Setting the RIP Preference

Each kind of routing protocol has its own preference, by which the routing policy will
select the optimal one from the routes of different protocols. The greater the
preference value is, the lower the preference becomes. The preference of RIP can be
set manually.
