Step 6: Set the binary transmission mode and upload the VRP software to the remote
PC for backup using the put command.
[ftp] binary
[ftp] put system backup
Step 7: Download the latest VRP software from the PC to the SecPath F1800-A using
the get command.
[ftp] get SecPath-vrp.bin system
Step 8: Reboot the SecPath F1800-A using the reboot command after completing
the file download.
[ftp] quit
<SecPath> reboot
Note:
Be sure not to directly overwrite the old VRP version. If necessary, you can recover
the original system with the backup VRP version.
II. SecPath F1800-A as FTP Server
Note:
If you upgrade the SecPath F1800-A on a remote PC after NAT, you must configure
the firewall as the FTP server. In this case, the configuration procedure is complex.
