2.2.8 Switching Interface Modes

The command is used to switch the interface mode between WAN and LAN
interfaces.
Do as follows in Ethernet interface view.
Table 2-7 Switching the interface mode
Switch an interface from the WAN mode to LAN mode.
Switch an interface from the LAN mode to WAN mode.
LAN interfaces only exist in transparent mode and composite mode; WAN interfaces
only exist in routing mode and composite mode. Interfaces that join layer 2 VLAN
must be LAN interfaces.

2.2.9 Disabling or Enabling an Interface

Do as follows in interface view.

Disable an interface.
Enable an interface.
Note:
Do not use the shutdown command at will, for it will make an interface stop working.

2.2.10 Configuring Flow Control Mode

Do as follows in GE interface view.

Configure flow control mode to
auto-negotiation mode.
Restore control mode to the default
value.
