The FTP client is an additional function provided for users by the firewall. It is an
application module without configuration function. You can serve as FTP client to
connect the remote server and input commands of the FTP client to create or delete
the directory.
2.2.2 Configuring the FTP Server
The FTP server configuration includes:
Enabling the FTP server
Configuring authentication and authorization of the FTP server
Setting running parameters of the FTP server
I. Enabling the FTP Server
To log on to the server through the FTP client and access the files on the server, you
must enable the FTP server first.
Do as follows in system view.

Enable the FTP server.
Disable the FTP server.
Multiple users can access the FTP server at the same time. First a remote FTP user
sends a request to the FTP server. Then the FTP server performs the relevant action
and returns the request result to the user.
II. Configuring Authentication and Authorization of the FTP Server
Authorization information of the FTP server includes the path of working directory
provided to FTP user. To access the FTP server, you must pass authentication and
authorization. The firewall system uses local authentication and AAA service to
authenticate and authorize FTP users.
You can run the FTP client program to log on to the firewall
and access the files.
You can run the terminal emulation program or Telnet
program on your PC to connect the firewall. Then establish
the connection with the remote FTP server to access files
on the remote host through FTP commands.
