I. Creating and Deleting the Virtual Template Interface
Do as follows in system view.

Create a virtual template interface
and enter its view.
Delete the virtual template interface.
In using the interface virtual-template command, if the virtual template interface has
been created, then directly enter the view of this virtual template interface; otherwise,
first create a virtual template interface with specified template number, and then enter
virtual template interface view.
In deleting the virtual template interface, make sure that all of its derived virtual
access interfaces have been removed and this virtual template is not in use any more.
II. Setting Operating Parameters of the Virtual Template Interface
Compared with the physical interface, the virtual template interface has the following
features.
The link layer protocol only supports PPP.
The network protocol supports IP.
Therefore, you can set the following operational parameters:
Set operating parameters of PPP.
Assign the IP address to the virtual template interface.
Assign the IP address (or IP address pool) to PPP opposite end.
Configure packet filtering rules on the virtual interface.
There parameters on the virtual template interface are set in the same way as those
on the normal interfaces.

By default, the virtual template interface only supports that PPP acts as link layer
protocol and is encapsulated with PPP. Therefore, the link-protocol command is not
needed.
